Harry Sweby is a Brisbane-based screenwriter, script coordinator, producer and content creator.

Harry Sweby is a screenwriter & producer with extensive experience across all stages of feature & series production, including work as a Script Coordinator (Dangerous Animals, Rock Island Mysteries), Script Supervisor (The Red), Editor (BrainSauce) and Producer’s Assistant at Dicentium Films.

As a screenwriter, Harry has been supported by Screen Queensland through multiple initiatives - including as a Script Department attachment at Fremantle Australia, and the Wattpad Adaptations initiative, where he adapted popular novel Apartment 239 into a crime drama series in development with Webtoon Studios.

He has since gone on to adapt multiple crime novels for the screen, and is working with international production companies to develop Australian crime/thriller projects that will bring fresh local stories to global audiences.

His short form writing & producing efforts have been screened in festivals across Australia, including a premiere at Brisbane International Film Festival (Goodbye, Spy), and received awards for screenwriting (winning Best Short Screenplay at AFIN International Film Festival 2023).

Harry also supports the local creative community with Light Up Film Festival and his media company The Slop Shack, producing and editing dozens of documentaries, podcasts, short films and music videos for Queensland-based creators most known for YouTube documentary series BrainSauce.
